The first term of President Biden's presidency will be inextricably linked with a few key developments in history books, one of which is the distribution of billions of dollars in stimulus checks to mitigate the economic pain associated with the coronavirus pandemic. And our latest stimulus check update only reiterates how true this is.
Earlier this month, the IRS reported that about $15 billion was sent out during the new round of child tax credit stimulus payments. That third wave of checks went out on September 15, with three more still to come. We also had $1,400 stimulus checks from the federal government earlier this year.
